Loving Motherdom

I just wanted to take this time to thank God for all my blessings, all the lessons I’ve learned and especially for these two little rays of sunshine that I birthed and am raising. They are such wonderful kids, so full of laughter and joy. I am so blessed to have such a close relationship with both of my kids. My oldest and I have gone through a lot and I’m happy that we haven’t had to go through too much with my youngest. I strongly believe that I am a parent first and their friend second, but I am so happy that we have a very loving relationship. Of course, my kids are young, so I’m sure as they get older, they will want to be more independent and less close with me, but I am always going to try and keep us close by doing different activities together.

Yesterday we went to the river again, this time we got a raft. It was so much fun! I got burned all to hell, but the kids had fun. Thankfully, they didn’t get burned, I kept them pretty lotioned up. I want to get some camping stuff, so maybe before school starts again we can go camping. When school does start, I want to get Kiera involved in a sport. I cannot believe she’s already going to be in Kindergarten, little man will be ready for preschool after next year. Things will be a little easier once little man is in school. I won’t be spending so much on daycare then. I’ll just have to save for summer care, but that’s only two months. Kiera starts school on August 27th, I already have her school list and a list of things she will be learning next year! So excited for her to start reading. I have these two indented spaces in the wall next to my fireplace, I need to get a couple of bookshelves to put there and join a bookclub so we can start stocking up. I need to find the first book that I read, which was The Mice and the Flying Basket. Actually, I just Googled it and found it on Amazon! Man I love the internet!

Have a good week ya’ll! I need to get my rump cleaning and getting ready for some BBQing later tonight. :)
